About Hachi sushi & omakase

Japanese restaurant offering a curated sushi and omakase experience complemented by a wide selection of drinks in a modern setting.

Located at 9188 Prestmont Pl #102, Frisco, TX 75035, Hachi sushi & omakase operates as a japanese serving Frisco in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under kaiseki restaurant, restaurant, sushi restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Frisco, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–2:30 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (945) 289-0607. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is hachiomakase.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 205 reviews, which is a strong result for a japanese in Frisco and suggests consistent service.

Frisco is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Frisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Best sushi in Frisco! Since we discovered Hachi this has been our go to place (sorry Edoko) whenever we crave sushi. The fish is incredibly fresh, you can feel how it melts in your mouth. Their miso soup is super yummy. The service is amazing, they bring the food out quickly, staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.

I brought my partner here on a date night for him to get some omakase for a special occasion, spurred on by the stellar reviews here. I myself don’t really like sushi, so I got the chicken yakisoba. I’d place it at average to above average yakisoba, with strong flavor and thin noodles. I think beef or pork would have better suited the dish had they had themβ€”the chicken was good but a little dry. My partner seemed to very much enjoy his omakase. He got the 10 piece course, and there wasn’t anything he thought was bad or mediocre. I asked for his favorite and he mentioned both tuna options that he received, including one with truffle. It was also his first time trying caviar. When asked what could be improved, he cited that when he had his omakase in Japan, it was more than just nigiri options. He liked the little appetizers, hand rolls, and more that he had gotten there. He said that while this 10 piece course was great, he wished for a bit more variety. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal here and would return again. Shoutout to the waitstaff for not forcing the whole table to get the omakase (that’s happened to me before)!

Authentic sushi spot with Japanese chefs. Fish is so fresh you don’t need soy sauce. In a city full of omakase sushi places springing up left and right with overpriced menus, this was a refreshing change.

Went on a quiet Thursday with a friend who loves sushi and wanted to try the omakase. Turns out the reviews were too good to be true. I really wanted to like it however almost every dish was disappointing. The first dish for example was just sour on sour on sour. Like they sliced a whole pickle thinly, poured some fresh vinegar, and served it with a slice of lemon. A majority of the nigiri were forgettable or worse, the clams were too salty and or gritty for me, the uni was a major let down and had a rough aftertaste and dessert was not to my taste (looked like ice cream but tasted like mung bean cake or sorts). The service was great although it was also a pretty slow night with 2 other tables occupied other than us.

Love it a lot!!! One of the best sushi experiences we’ve ever had. The service here is truly outstanding – the team is attentive, warm, and makes you feel genuinely welcome. The chefs are not only skilled but also incredibly kind, and you can see the pride they take in every dish. We’ve tried both the 14-course and 10-course omakase, and each experience was absolutely amazing. The ingredients are always fresh, every course is thoughtfully prepared, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. The pacing of the meal is just right, making the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you want an omakase that combines top-quality food with exceptional hospitality. We can’t wait to come back again!
